Information We Collect
We collect account information such as your email address, Google profile name when you use Google sign-in, and authentication identifiers created by Supabase. We also collect the video files, captions, scripts, platform, niche, goals, view counts, and metadata you submit for diagnosis.
When HookDoktor analyzes a video, we may generate transcripts, OCR observations, frame samples, thumbnails, retention estimates, hook rewrites, replay trigger suggestions, and recut recommendations.
How We Use Information
We use your information to provide accounts, process uploads, run video diagnosis, save reports to your account, send secure sign-in emails, improve the product, prevent abuse, and support billing or subscription features when enabled.
Service Providers
HookDoktor uses Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; Vercel for hosting and analytics; Resend for transactional emails; Groq or similar AI providers for transcription, visual, and semantic analysis; and Stripe for billing if paid plans are enabled.
These providers process data only as needed to operate HookDoktor. Video and analysis data may be transmitted to analysis providers when you request a diagnosis.
Video Uploads and Reports
Uploaded videos and generated reports are associated with your account. HookDoktor does not sell your uploaded videos or generated reports. We may use aggregated, non-identifying product metrics to understand reliability, usage, and feature performance.
Cookies and Analytics
HookDoktor uses authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We also use privacy-conscious Vercel Analytics to understand page views and product usage patterns.
Retention and Deletion
We keep account, upload, and report data while your account is active or as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse. Signed-in users can export their account data or permanently delete their account and private storage from Account settings.
Security
We use access controls, private storage paths, secure authentication, and provider-managed infrastructure to protect your data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but we design HookDoktor to limit access to your own account data.
Children
HookDoktor is not intended for children under 13. Do not use HookDoktor if you are not old enough to create an account and agree to these terms under the laws that apply to you.
